Pawn Stars Real or Fake?
The popular show Pawn Stars is well known throughout America and even in some countries overseas. With all reality type television, the question always remains, it is real or fake? A real person from this most watched show on the History Channel comes forth and talks about his experience the show.
Who is Adam?
The person on the show, his name is Adam, is a local Las Vegas resident who made an appearance on the Pawn Stars show in February of 2010. In the show he attempts to sell an old classic french thermometer that he picked up when he was playing baseball overseas on Belgium. The old man is a tough sell and doesn’t seem up to negotiate. Adam leaves with his unique thermometer only to end up selling it on ebay a month later for over $400 as the “Pawn Stars” Thermometer” earning much more than they offered him in the pawn shop originally.

I enjoy watching “Pawn Stars”, but I’ve always been uncomfortable about the fact that they ask the prospective sellers what they hope to get for their items. I’m sure it is to increase potential conflict and drama for the show, but it seems unethical to me. Why wouldn’t the pawnshop folks just tell the sellers what they could offer?
