About Smosh

Smosh – before YouTube
Smosh consists of two friends, Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla from Sacramento, California who started making videos together as early as 2003. Smosh was originally Padilla’s idea who began making flash movies by himself and uploading them to Newgrounds but it wasn’t long before his best friend Hecox joined in on the fun.
Smosh invades YouTube
In 2005, Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla discovered YouTube and began their quest to take over the internet with their silly yet humorous sketch videos. The Smosh Duo instantly became a YouTube sensation and they continue to be one of the most watched YouTube channels today.

The Good
Smosh has been around since the beginning of YouTube and has been entertaining audiences from the start. They have become excellent film makers and posts multiple new videos every week. They are creative, fresh, and keep up with current events in the variety parodies they make. While their videos used to be very silly and sometimes unbearable, they seemed to have grown up a little in the last year and are starting to produce some real solid videos.
The Bad
Smosh puts out a ton of videos. Sometimes it’s hard to find the good stuff and YouTubers can often be turned off by some of their lamer sillier videos. They also sometimes over due certain themes in order to hit the mainstream popularity trends.
Most Viewed Video (86+ million views)
While this video is entertaining, we are not sure how it ended up with so many more views than Smosh’s other videos.
YTCR Editor’s Pick
This video has a Lonely Island & Andy Samberg type vibe to it. We loved it, very funny, good beat and nice video all together. Our favorite Smosh video to date.
Random Video Selection
A cross parody of Pokemon and the movie “There will be Blood”. If you’ve seen the movie you will find this mildly entertaining.
How much money?
